Baobab Register was first performed during EAUs festival in december 2009, Oslo.
The composition Baobab Register is based on recordings of clarinettist Hans Christian Bræin and his clarinets.
Baobab trees tend to grow large and get complicated, and from time to time it may be difficult telling up from down on a certain tree. They get very old, and usually makes for a nice place to sit and listen to tales and stories, as well as music. They can keep large volumes of water inside their trunks.
Baobabs come from Madagascar, but have spread out, and are reportedly observed on small planets nearby.
